HMAS Newcastle Novocastrian walk

A crew of 15 members called the "Great North Walk Team" from HMAS Newcastle arranged to raise money for the Hunter Orthopaedic School by walking from Garden Island to Newcastle.

Members of the Great North Walk team: Executive Officer of HMAS Newcastle Lieutenant Commander Terry Morrison, Lieutenant Commander Mark Bailey, Petty Officer Stuart Rowe, Leading Seaman Wilhem Zielmann, Leading Seaman Peter Hugston, Leading Seaman Penny Morris, Able Seaman David Bowhay, Able Seaman Dominic Wildin, Able Seaman Simone Lonie, Able Seaman Sarah Norris, Able Seaman Robert Tucker, Able Seaman Campbell McRay, Able Seaman Karly Green and Able Seman Brendon Dorr.

The walkers completed their 10-day walk at the Newcastle City Hall and were meet by Lord Mayor, Councillor John Tate, students from the Hunter Orthopedic School, HMAS Newcastle's launching Lady Margaret Naughton and Newcastle Knights Ben Cross, Mitchell Sargent along with Matthew Burnham, Ryan Stig and Kevin Naigama.
