Army brings Kangaroos back to life

21 February 2008

Members of the North Melbourne Football Club, who were in Darwin to compete in the NAB Cup, took the opportunity to visit Robertson Barracks for a warm-down session the day after their sweltering clash with the Western Bulldogs.

The players conducted a post-game recovery session in the Barracks pool where coaching staff discussed their fitness regime and the team's performance in the tropical climate with an Army Physical Training Instructor.

The team were then escorted to the 1st Armoured Regiment, home of Australia's Abrams tanks for a tour.

The players were shown over an M113 Armoured Personnel Carrier, and an M1A1 Abrams tank.
