Litchfield Christain School at Fred's Pass

19 February 2008

Over 220 primary and young high school students from the Darwin rural area got a sneak-peek inside a squadron of 2nd Cavalry Regiment Australian Light Armoured Vehicles (ASLAVs) at Fred's Pass in the Northern Territory.

As well as the vehicles, the youngsters encountered Army ration packs, field equipment and the unit's 21-year-old eagle mascot "Sergeant Courage".

Both the soldiers and the students greatly enjoyed their time spent together.
