Some of 1st Brigade's newest soldiers have been treated to an impressive display of the Army's equipment and capabilities utilised by local units on the Parade Ground at Robertson Barracks.
Over 700 Australian Army soldiers were posted to Darwin's Robertson Barracks this year.
As part of their introduction to the largest Army Barracks in the Northern Territory, the soldiers have been given a glimpse of the Brigade's finest equipment, including an Abrams Tank, Kiowa Helicopter, Light Armoured Vehicles, Armoured Personnel Carriers, 155mm Howitzer Guns, Emergency Response Vehicles, Satellite Communication equipment, Mine Detection equipment and Explosive Detection Dogs.
Soldiers new to Darwin were also offered the opportunity to attend an EXPO to meet with local education, sporting, Government and community organisations. The EXPO was organised by the Defence Community Organisation and is supported by several local industries.
