HMAS Arunta conducts diesel fuel transfer to yacht 'Ecover' that is running low on fuel
HMAS Arunta conducted a fuel transfer of two hundred litres of diesel fuel to the English yachtsman on board the yacht 'Ecover', a yacht participating in the Vendee Globe, Round the World Yacht Race. The yacht 'Ecover' was running low on fuel and required some assistance after breaking its mast in the Southern Ocean, so that it was able to sail towards its nearest port in Australia for repairs.
