Air Lift Group handover takeover ceremony
Command of the Royal Australian Air Force’s (RAAF’s) air lift capability has changed hands at RAAF Base Richmond. Outgoing Air Commodore Ian Scott, AM, handed over as Commander Air Lift Group to Air Commodore John Oddie, AM, CSC, in a small ceremony. Located at RAAF Base Richmond, Headquarters Air Lift Group is responsible for the Air Force’s transport capability – including combat and strategic air lift, VIP transport, air-to-air refuelling operations, and search and rescue operations.
