First all Female Globemaster crew for RAAF

An important milestone for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) was achieved on December 8, when its first all-female crew took the controls of a C-17A Globemaster III aircraft at RAAF Base Amberley.

Piloting the aircraft was Wing Commander Linda Corbould as captain, Flight Lieutenant Sam Webster as co-pilot, with Sergeants Paula Ivanovic and Julie Snell on board as the aircraft`s loadmasters.

The flight held extra significance for Wing Commander Corbould, being her final flight in command of the C-17A, having handed over command of No.36 Squadron in late November.
