Orions take to training in West Pacific

Two AP-3C Orions from the Adelaide-based 11 Squadron deployed to Kadena, Japan, to participate in a multi-lateral maritime patrol and reconnaissance operation in the West Pacific Ocean from 8-15 October 2007.
Number 11 Squadron crews practiced liaison and coordination activities in accordance with the provisions of the United Nations Command-Rear (UNC-R) Status of Forces Agreement with the governement of Japan.
The operation aimed to promote regional security and interoperability between participating nations.
