Commander Australian Fleet visits Shanghai

HMAS Perth and HMAS Parramatta are conducting an official visit to the city of Shanghai, China for five days, berthing at Yangzi Jiang Naval Base.
The visit is conducted under the auspices of the North East Asia Deployment (NEAD), in a goodwill tour for the Royal Australian Navy.
Commander Australia Fleet Rear Admiral Nigel Coates flew in as the official guest of China's People's Liberation Army Navy.
HMAS Perth and HMAS Parramatta are currently conducting a goodwill tour of North East Asia, providing important international relations with foreign neighbouring countries of Hong Kong, China, South Korea, Japan and Singapore.
HMAS Perth and HMAS Parramatta return to Australia in late October.
