The Prime Minister of Australia, the Honourable John Howard, announced the allocation of $4 million dollars for the creation of the Special Air Service Historical and Research Centre to be located at Campbell Barracks, Swanbourne, Western Australia at an informal gathering at Campbell Barracks.
