Exercise Executive Stretch
30 April 2007
Ten employers from across Darwin were offered the opportunity to gain an insight into the military training of the Army Reserve, to foster a better understanding of the demands placed on part-time soldiers when they are away from the work place and deployed to the field.
Conducted under the title Exercise Executive Stretch, employers spent a few days at Robertson Barracks where they experienced a different kind of pressure to that of the manager’s daily grind.
From dawn reveilles and obstacle courses to F88 Austeyr rifle range shoots and field craft techniques, the bosses gained a type of respect and mateship unique to the Australian soldier.
