Red Berets aerial display / Red Bull Air Race in Perth

"No. 38 Squadron from RAAF Base Amberley and their Caribous will been seen across the skies of Western Australia as part of their Western Display Tour.

The Caribous are visiting towns across Western Australia such as Esperance, Albany, Northam, Perth, Jandakot, Geraldton and Bunbury throughout the tour. 38 Squadron are participating in the Northam International Festival and the International Red Bull Air Race.

The Caribous of No. 38 Squadron will also be conducting school visits to both Phoenix and Newton Primary Schools with a special visit to the Starlight Foundation at Jandakot.

This is the first time that the Caribous from 38SQN have had the opportunity to participate in a tour of this magnitude in supporting public relations to Air Force.

The tour commenced on 10 November, 2006 with attendances and handling displays at the Albany Agricultural Show concluding on 19 November, 2006 with a handling display at the International Red Bull Air Race in Perth.

A total of 17 crew from 38SQN are participating in the Western Tour."

The Caribou is a versatile tactical transport aircraft, introduced into the RAAF in 1964 and employed on active service in Vietnam.
