Soldiers from the five countries which are signatories to the Five Power Defence Arrangements (FDPA) are currently meeting in Townsville for an exercise focusing on combat service support to coalition operations.
The exercise known as Exercise SUMAN WARRIOR runs for 12 days from 3 Jul 06, with the purpose to develop cooperation between the five nations involved; Singapore, United Kingdom, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand.
The 200 international troops are being hosted by the Australian Army's 17th Brigade, which has soldiers based in six states and territories across the country, in what is the largest international coalition training activity for the Australian Army this year.
