Navy open day at Garden Island

The Royal Australian Navy celebrated Navy Week 2006 at the Garden Island Navy base, culiminating in an annual open day on 23 September.
The guided missile frigate HMAS Sydney, amphibious transport ship HMAS Manoora, coastal mine hunter HMAS Diamantina and oil replenisher HMAS Success were each on show.
Other big attractions included a Seahawk helicopter, the Navy's skilled clearance divers, the RAN Band and various displays and demonstrations.
