The winners of the Defence Force Recruiting competition
25 October 2005
A
commercial radio competition sponsored by Defence
Force Recruiting as part of the 'Pilots Wanted'
campaign saw a large group of school age leavers
spend the day at Richmond in Western Sydney
experiencing first hand the dynamics of an operational
Air Force base.
The competition winners, Mr Chris Scott from
Pittsworth, Queensland; Ms Brook Hindmarsh from
Sandy Bay, Tasmania; and Mr David Twine, from
Mount Gravatt in Queensland were chosen from
hundreds of entries from across Australia.
The competition winners were given a VIP tour
of Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Richmond,
a background briefing, some close up inspections
of various RAAF aircraft and a special lunch
before being presented with specially prepared
mementos of the day.
