An inspiring day for ADF aircrew applicants
24 October 2005
RAAF Base Richmond played host to 76 young men and women all keen on a career in ADF aviation. They spent the day gaining first hand information from serving ADF Aircrew and had the chance to see first hand a range of ADF aircraft. The aircrew applicants - already well into the competitive selection process for ADF Aircrew positions - came from all around the country, in a joint project organised by Headquarters Defence Force Recruiting and Aviation Capability Improvement Team.
The event enables greater understanding of roles in ADF aviation, and also serves to maintain the motivation for applicants during what can be a lengthy selection process. For the first time at one of these events applicants were also exposed to other ADF Aviation career opportunities including Air Traffic Control and Aeronautical Engineering.
