Australian Army Training Team Iraq

The Australian Army Training Team Iraq 4 [AATT- I (4)] has the responsibility of training and supporting the 2nd Brigade of the Iraqi Army’s 10th Division in the Al Muthanna province in Southern Iraq. This training plays a key role in enabling the Iraqis to take over the internal and external defence of their country.

AATT-I (4) was deployed to Iraq as part of Operation CATALYST, which is the Australian Defence Force’s contribution to the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Iraq. Operation CATALYST commenced on July 16, 2003.
