About 23 Australian Defence Force aircraft
flew over Melbourne, annoucing their arrival
for the huge event.
The Australian International Airshow is ranked
among the top six such events worlwide and attracts
government, industry and defence delegations
from more than 20 nations.
Aircraft taking part from the ADF include Naval
and Army helicopters as well as the fast jets
of the RAAF.
The RAAF's new Airborne Early Warning and Control
aircraft will make its first appearance.
The
conference examining the shape of things to
come - likely changes in air force combat forces
and potential solutions to the challenges that
are presented by international coalition and
regional operations.
Achieved by speakers who will be informative,
possibly provocative, who may challenge conventional
wisdom.
