Air Vice-Marshal Geoffrey Shepherd, AM, handed
over the reign of Air Commander Australia to
Air Vice-Marshal John Quaife, AM, at an official
ceremony at RAAF Glenbrook in the Blue Mountains
today.
Approximately 150 Australian Defence Force personnel
and invited guests attended the ceremony, which
included a parade and formal handover as well
as fly pasts from an F/A-18 Hornet from RAAF
Williamtown and an F-111 Strike Aircraft from
RAAF Amberley in Brisbane.
