CEO Appointed to Defence Materiel Organisation

The Minister for Defence, Senator Robert Hill,
today welcomed the appointment of Dr Stephen
Gumley as the new Chief Executive Officer of
the Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO).
Senator Hill said Dr Gumley’s extensive business
experience and qualifications make him an outstanding
choice for the challenging task of leading the
DMO at this time.
Dr Gumley is currently the Chief Executive Officer
and Managing Director of the Australian Submarine
Corporation, a position he has held since July
2002.
