DEFENCE
PERSONNEL INJURED IN TRUCK ROLL-OVER A truck roll-over in Timor-Leste has resulted in six members of the
Australian Defence Force led International Security Force (ISF) and a civilian
interpreter being injured. None of the injuries are considered to be life threatening. Defence spokesperson Brigadier Andrew Nikolic said the accident
occurred near Dili shortly after 1.30pm (local time). Brigadier Nikolic said the members were traveling in a Unimog truck
when it rolled over. “Immediate medical assistance was provided at the scene to the injured
personnel who were then evacuated by helicopter to the medical facility in
Dili,” said Brigadier Nikolic. “None of the injuries have been assessed as life threatening. “Our priority at this time is to ensure that the injured people receive
the best available medical attention and that their families are being
notified,” he said. Further information will be released as it comes to hand. Audio grabs are available from: http://www.defence.gov.au/media/download/audio/index.cfm Media contact: Defence Media
