As reported by media today, the Royal Australian Navy and Royal Australian Air Force survivors from the Sea King accident in Nias, Indonesia, have returned to Australia.

The survivors have been reunited with their families and are receiving medical care.

Defence would like to remind the media of the request for privacy that has been made by the individuals and their families.

The two survivors do not wish to conduct media interviews at this time and have asked that the media respect both their own and their families’ privacy during this difficult period.
