COMMISSION OF INQUIRY INTO THE LOSS OF HMAS SYDNEY II, PUBLIC HEARINGS 19-21 JANUARY 2009

WHAT:           Public hearings of the Commission of Inquiry (COI) into the loss of HMAS Sydney II. 

WHO:             The President of the Commission, The Hon. Terence Cole AO, RFD, QC, will convene a public hearing of the Inquiry.

Experts from the Royal Australian Navy will be called to provide analysis of the meteorological and sea state conditions at the time of the engagement.

WHEN:           10:00 am, Monday 19 to Wednesday 21 January 2009.

WHERE:         Hearing Room 1, Level 5, 55 Market Street, Sydney.

No television cameras will be granted access to the hearing room.
