EXERCISE TALISMAN SABRE 2005 Media are invited to a press conference at ‘Camp Rocky’ on Thursday 9 June 05 to view the camp and talk to personnel in a build-up to the start of Exercise Talisman Sabre. What: Media press conference to kick-off Exercise Talisman Sabre 2005. The conference will be followed by a lunch with Military personnel. Where:‘Camp Rocky’, 68 Western Road, Rockhampton. When: 11:30 am Thursday, 9 June, 2005. Time: 11:45 am. Media to assemble at the main gate. Photographic identification will be required. Who: Lieutenant Colonel Dick Filewood will be available for interview.
TALISMAN SABRE’s primary aim is to conduct collective training and exercise inter-operability between Australian and US forces. The biennial exercise will further develop the ADF’s capability to undertake joint, combined operations and will help build regional security and complement our regional partner’s activities with the US.
