AIR FORCE INVOLVED IN WORLD CRICKET TSUNAMI APPEAL

 

 

WHAT: Two Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) C-130 Hercules aircraft will conduct a fly-past during the World Cricket Tsunami Appeal match.

WHERE: The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The first pass will come in from the north, departing to the south. The second pass will come from the south-west, departing east.

WHEN: 6.10pm on Monday, 10 January 2005

 

 

Both aircraft will travel from their home base at RAAF Richmond to Melbourne today and are scheduled to arrive over the stadium at 6.10pm.

One of the C-130-J aircraft will then continue its journey to Indonesia to assist victims of the Asian tsunami as part of the Australian Defence Force’s OPERATION SUMATRA ASSIST.
