1999 RAAF Heritage Awards

The Chief of Air Force, Air Marshal Errol McCormack, recently announced that entries for the 1999 RAAF Heritage awards are now being sought.

“Artistic, photographic and written records have formed an integral part of the RAAF heritage since its formation in 1921”, he said.

Inaugurated in 1988, the awards cover art, photography and literature and since their inception numerous paintings and photographs have been added to the RAAF’s already significant collection.

The monetary value of the prizes is some $12 000. Conditions of entry and applications for the awards can be obtained from the RAAF Air Power Studies Centre as follows:

Entries for the 1999 awards must be received at the Air Power Studies Centre by no later than January 31, 1999: winners will be announced on Sunday, March 28, 1999.
