NOTE FOR CHIEFS OF STAFF AND NEWS EDITORS

POOLING ARRANGEMENTS FOR AUSTRALIAN UK AND FRENCH MEDIA

Following the rescue of Thierry Dubois and Tony Bullimore by the Australian Defence Force, some media agencies have chosen not to adhere to the pooling arrangements.

As a result the Department of Defence have directed HMAS ADELAIDE not to conduct interviews with media outlets not previously arranged by Defence PR.

This arrangement will remain in force until further notice.

Wider access to the ship and the survivors will be allowed as soon as possible.
