TWO STRANDED YATCHMEN RESCUED
Earlier today both yachtsmen stranded about 1 300 nautical miles south west of Perth, Tony Bullimore and Thierry Dubois were rescued and brought to safety on board HMAS Adelaide in one of the most extensive search and rescue operations undertaken by the Royal Australian Air Force and Royal Australian Navy.
Englishman, Tony Bullimore surprisingly emerged from the hull of his overturned yacht at about mid day, in response to the HMAS Adelaide's horn as it circled his yacht.
Mr Bullimore was picked up by a Rigid Inflatable Boat and taken on board the HMAS Adelaide. He appeared well, although suffering from exposure.
Thierry Dubois had earlier this morning (about 8.30 am AEDT) been successfully winched from his life raft by a navy crew upon a Seahawk helicopter.
Mr Dubois is in good health, although he has a few cuts and abrasions and his extremities have been exposed to the cold.
The HMAS Adelaide will now make its way back to Perth, but expected time of arrival is unknown as yet.
