Role
The Directorate of Legislation and Legal Policy (DLP) is responsible for providing legal policy and related legal advice on new Defence policy proposals, including proposals to amend primary legislation and regulations. The Directorate has responsibility for implementation of the Legislative Instruments Act 2003 and provides advice on drafting of legislative instruments, other instruments and legislation related matters.
