Exercising technical authority over all civil litigation, excepting where otherwise directed, matters arising from the Defence Materiel Office or matters concerning industrial relations.

F-111 Deseal Reseal Board of Inquiry
On 2 September 2001, the F-111 Deseal Reseal Board of Inquiry (BOI) ceased activities; this was followed by the public release of the BOI Report on 7 September 2001. With the closure of the BOI Support Office at Victoria Barracks, Brisbane on 28 February 2001, all remaining support activities have been passed to Defence Legal, Directorate of Litigation, effective 30 April 02.
