Decisions and Determinations of the Defence Force Remuneration Trubunal (DFRT) that affect the Legal Officers' Specialist Officer Career Structure (LOSOCS) are set out below.

In February 2000, the Defence Force Remuneration Tribunal (DFRT) approved the introduction of the Legal Officer’s Specialist Career Structure (LOSOCS) from 16 March 2000.

In December 2003 the DFRT made amendments to the rates of salary for legal officers with effect from 1 January 2004.

In June 2004 the DFRT approved changes to the LOSOCS in relation to CL advancement requirements, including changes to the requirements for advancement to CL5 and the recognition of Reserve Legal Officers with Specific Qualifications with effect from 1 July 2004. The DFRT also approved transitional arrangements.

On 31 August 2005, the DFRT inserted a new pay point for CL1 at the 0-3 rank and amended the pay point for legal officers at CL1, who are on higher duties or temporary duty only. The DFRT also approved no-detriment provisions for legal officers currently on HDA. There is no separate DFRT decision.
