The Assistant Secretary Legal Services leads a branch of two directorates with the primary role of providing the nexus between Defence Legal and civil regulatory, judicial and commercial legal entities. Legal Services Branch supports Defence through the provision of civil litigation and the administration of the Compensation for Detriment through Defective Administration scheme and other special financial claim arrangements.
