Mark Jenkin
Head Defence Support Operations, Defence Support Group
In December 2010 Mark Jenkin took up the position of Head Defence Support Operations within the Defence Support Group. During a public service career of 25 years, Mark has previously worked within elements of DSG: as Director General of the Defence Community Organisation (2003); and as Regional Manager Corporate Services and Infrastructure in Southern Victoria (2001-02).
Immediately prior to appointment as HDSO, Mark was First Assistant Secretary Financial Management and Reporting, within the Department of Defence, responsible for statutory and management reporting, systems accounting, controls testing, financial analysis, financial policy, skilling, treasury and taxation services. He was involved in transitioning the Defence Materiel Organisation to prescribed agency status during 2004-05.
Mark is a Certified Practising Accountant and is a member of the Australian Accounting Standards Board.
