RAAF Base Scherger Air Force personnel training during Exercise Kakadu

Air Force personnel at Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Scherger are participating in three weeks of intensive training, in support of Exercise Kakadu, a multi-national maritime exercise which is being held off the Northern Australian coast.

As part of the exercise, approximately 600 RAAF personnel from across Australia and up to 6 F111 aircraft from RAAF Base Amberley help transform RAAF Scherger from a bare base into a fully operational Air Force Base.
