JLC Mission
Lead the coordinated delivery of effective and efficient logistics to enable Defence to train, fight and win.
JLC Vision
We are the leaders in professional logistic solutions to Defence.
Overview of the Mission and Vision
The 'Mission' statement explains what the purpose of JLC is today. The 'Vision' statement reflects a status we strive to achieve in the future.
The JLC Mission, Vision and Australian Defence Organisational Values are mandated and are required to be inculcated into all subordinate JLC unit planning documents.
Strategy is what makes the Vision happen and gives JLC its effectiveness and efficiency focus.
JLC is not the sole provider of logistic support to the ADF nor will it provide the full range of products and services associated with the definition of 'logistics'. However, when it comes to satisfying immediate and short-term logistic requirements in support of ADF operations, JLC will be the predominant provider. Furthermore, JLC will have a role to play in the coordination of logistic support from other providers. The highest priority for JLC will be the provision of logistics in support of ADF operations.
The JLC functions are to:
