AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE FORCE — FORCE EXTRACTION CLEANING MANUAL

This Cleaning Manual replaces the Army publication – LWP-CSS 4-0-4 Cleaning and Inspection Procedures – Force Extraction 2003.

This new manual is electronic only. It can also be accessed on the DRN under the DEFLOGMAN. If you think you may have to clean your equipment in an area with no internet connection – download and burn to disc the chapters you require

This manual has been written as an agreed minimum standard between Defence and AQIS. By cleaning your kit in line with the standard in the chapter, the first time around – and following the included checklist and keeping in mind the information in the preliminary chapters - it’s unlikely that your AQIS inspector will require additional cleaning before it can be sent back to Australia.

The chapters also contain advice and warnings which will help to avoid cleaning related damage so your kit can be returned to your unit in Australia and be operational again as soon as possible.

The manual’s 97 chapters, covers all vehicles – including their variants - and large pieces of kit which are potentially deployable.
