Mr Baldwin asked the Minister for Defence Science and Personnel, in writing, on 24 November 2008:
In respect of the recent investigation by the Australian Federal Police into the circumstances surrounding the leaking of a defence brief containing sexual allegations about Australian soldiers and entertainer Tania Zaetta: was he provided with the same ‘hot issue brief’ given to the Minister for Defence; if so, was his office subject to the same investigation, and if so, what were the findings of the investigation.
Mr Snowdon - The answer to the honourable member's question is as follows:
No, I did not receive a copy of the Hot Issue Brief. In regard to the investigation, all relevant people who were in receipt of the brief were interviewed and investigated.
