Australian Defence Force: Diabetes

Mr Bevis asked the Minister for Defence Science and Personnel, upon notice, on 12 November 2008:

  1. In 2006 and 2007, how many members of the Australian Defence Force were diagnosed with:
    1. type 1 diabetes; and
    2. type 2 diabetes.

Mr Snowdon - The answer to the honourable member's question is as follows:

  1. Health Data Systems within Joint Health Command is unable to capture data for 2006 but is able to provide data for 2007.
    1. 2007: 10.
    2. 2007: 22.
