Mr Price asked the Minister Assisting the Minister for Defence, upon notice, on 17 November 2004:
- Did the WA Medical Board of Inquiry considering matters relating to Dr McKenzie consider the actions of the Commanding Officer of HMAS Stirling; if so, what conclusions or observations did the inquiry make.
- Did the inquiry identify that the Commanding Officer had difficulty working with female officers; if so, is this the subject of an inquiry or investigation and, if it is, who is conducting the inquiry and when did it convene; if it is not, why not.
Mrs Kelly - The answer to the honourable member's question is as follows:
- The WA Medical Board received evidence from or relating to the Commanding Officer of HMAS Stirling on several aspects of the matters before it, but no findings were made by the Board regarding the Commanding Officer.
