Senator Chris Evans asked the Minister for Defence, upon notice, on 10 July 2002:

With reference to the Defence Capability Plan Supplement 2002, and, in particular, the five graphs breaking down expenditure into five broad sectors (for example, aerospace):

  1. Can the projected yearly figures of expenditure be provided for each of these five sectors, in a table format.
  2. With reference to the graph showing unapproved major capital projects by industry sector, can the projected yearly figures of unapproved expenditure be provided for each of these five sectors, in a table format.

Senator Hill - The answer to the honourable senator's question is as follows:

  1. and 2. Yes. The projected yearly expenditure figures in the Defence Capability Plan Supplement relate to unapproved major capital projects. The industry sector breakdowns are as follows:
