  • The Catafalque Party stand guard during the commemorations marking the 71st anniversary of the attack on HMAS Kuttabul, Garden Island. Twenty-one lives were lost when HMAS Kuttabul was sunk after being hit by a torpedo fired from a Japanese Midget Submarine during the night of 31 May-1 June 1942.

  • Three PC-9 aircraft from the RAAF Roulette aerobatics team fly in close formation as they depart RAAF Base Richmond to lead the bicentennial flyover of the Blue Mountains. The Roulettes were joined by in the air by approximately 70 private aircraft to commemorate the anniversary of the first crossing of the mountains in 1813.
