Available to DSG staff are a variety of different acquisition strategies that can be used to deliver works and a variety of different procurement methods.

To assist DSG staff to select an acquisition strategy and to use the correct procurement mechanisms, the Infrastructure Management provides the following simple tools: 

n           Overview of Major Capital Works Contracts - the table provides a simple and concise overview of the capital works contract types and the differences between each type of contract (Design Services, Head Contract and Managing Contract).
n           The Green Building Toolbox (see 'Guidance notes for Evaluating ESD response in ITR and Tender') provides guidance on reviewing tenderers' understanding of, and commitment to meeting the Defence Green Building Requirements.
n           The Acquisition Strategy table (below) provides a direct link to the different procurement options available when external project assistance is being sought. These include both existing panels and open tendering options.
