Practical Completion is a contractual process to allow for finalisation of the works, release of certain securities, transition to the Defects Liability Period (DLP), and permits handover back to the owner. Outcome: |

1) CMS Sub-contractor gives prior notice of Practical Completion in accord with contract. |
CMS Project manager ensures DSG is advised of notice to complete. |
| 2) CMS Project Manager assesses status of the works to meet Practical Completion date. | Are the works able to be completed by the date? Is handover documentation ready for final review? |
| 3)CMS Project Manager implements Handover Takeover Plan as defined in Project Scope. | Review HO/TO plan and Region Policy. |
| 4) CMS ensures all items required prior to grant of Practical Completion are completed. | Ref Contract documents for conditions precedent.
Provision of records, drawings and data are the subject of CMS Compliance Indicators 3206 and 3207. |
5) CMS Completes Practical Completion final inspection form and issues Practical Completion Certificate copy to DSG with details of any departures from design, defects, asset accounting requirements and transition of the support of new assets. |
