Budget Year Minus 1 - National Facilities Consultative Forum

The National Facilities Consultative Forum (NFCF) meets to discuss the merits of the draft FACOPS program and to finalise risk assessments and project listings. Project listing can be amended or altered depending on the outcomes of the NFCF. The NFCF usually occurs in early November.

Outcome:
Draft National FACOPS Program is sent to the Defence Infrastructure Sub Committee (DISC) Secretariat, ready for the December meeting of the DISC, where the draft FACOPS Program is considered and approved.

Activity Considerations

1) NFCF members examine and review the risk assessment consistency between the Groups and the project listing to be included in the FACOPS Program.

The DEMS Screens used in this activity is the National Priority List (see example below) that lists the draft FACOPS Program where Risk Managed Works projects are sorted by Risk Priority. The facility allows projects to be forced in and out of the program as required by the NFCF.
Project listings included in the draft FACOPS Program can be amended in accordance with discussions and subsequent decisions at the NFCF workshop.

2)  Following the workshop, the agreed draft FACOPS Program is sent to the DISC Secretariat a week prior to the December DISC.

National Priority List

All projects submitted through the Regional and National Bids are prioritised for consideration in the draft FACOPS program using the National Priority List in the Program Development Module of DEMS.
