How we maintain DEQMS Certification

Budget Year Minus 1 - Estate Maintenance Bid Structure - Work Planning Fees

The Work Planning Fees category includes those activities that require some level of study, survey or audit to determine if actual maintenance works are required. Work Planning Fees projects are defined for specific consultancies, physical appraisals and other investigations aimed at scoping the requirement for future works.

Outcome:
Work Planning Fees projects are created in DEMS with the Estate Maintenance Bid amount in the appropriate financial year and with “Submit for Bid” checkbox set to ‘on’.

CSIR’s are attached and the Risk Assessment is completed.
Activity Considerations

1) Create new Work Planning Fees projects as required and enter in appropriate project information.

Work Planning Fees projects may include the following types:

  • Physical Infrastructure Appraisals
  • Environmental Management Plans;
  • Heritage Management Plans;
  • Fire Safety Surveys;
  • Asbestos Audits; and
  • Project Scoping/Definition.

All projects in this category are to be single year bids.

Do not re-bid project that have been previously approved.


2) For the Estate Maintenance Bid year, enter the Work Planned Fee amount into the “Bid” field.

3) Prepare the Estate Maintenance Bid for consideration at the Regional Facilities Conference (RFC) by setting “Submit for Bid” checkbox to ‘on’.

Determination of the Estate Maintenance Bid should take into account the following factors:

  • expected volume of works;
  • prediction of consultancy requirements to support definition of future year projects;
  • IA work requests coded with Trade Type = Consultancy;
