Design Progression Step 5 - Obtain Design Certification
Activity	Considerations	Outcome
1) IAD Project Officer to receive letter of certification from Project Manager and/or Designer, that design has been independently certified against Statutory and Defence requirements	Statutory Requirements satisfied: BCA Disability access OHS Contractual requirements satisfied: Refer Design Services Manual under Clause 4.1 (2.10(b), 2.10(d)) Refer Head Contract Manual under Clause 3.1 (8.3(c), 8.4(d)) Refer Managing Contractor Manual under Clause 3.1 (8.18(c), 8.19)	Design certification
2) IAD Project Officer to receive a letter of approval from Project Manager and/or Designer that special conditions of contract have been addressed	Defence Requirements satisfied MFPE MIEE IM - Engineering and Maintenance section Special conditions of the contract (e.g Environmental/Heritage Impact Statements or appropriate Security Defence Green Building Requirements - refer to Section 5 Main Roadmap Section 6 ESD Performance Targets and Essential Requirements
3) IAD Project Officer maintains copy of letter of certification and approvals on project file
