Mission:
The
Commissioning, Handover and Takeover Guidelines address key elements of
the delivery of infrastructure projects by IAD to NOD and users/sponsors.
The Commissioning, Handover and Takeover Guidelines form part of IAD's overall mission, which is defined as: "To develop and deliver infrastructure assets in order to enhance and support defence capability." |

Goal: "For DSG to hand over to the User a complete, fully functioning facility that meets the user requirement, performance and cost criteria established in the DBC and is fit for purpose and occupancy by the user. Also to provide sustainable support through identification of relevant through- life- support costs." |

Objective: The objective of the Commissioning, Handover and Takeover Guidelines is to establish clear roles and responsibilities for participants in respect of the Commissioning, Handover and Takeover of infrastructure projects. IAD and its Contractors and Consultants; ID, IAD and NOD; NOD and its Contractors and Consultants; IAD, NOD and End Users (Regions) Any other relevant Key Stakeholder's crucial to the process of Commissioning and Handover Takeover for the project. To ensure that this policy guidance on Commissioning Hanover and Takeover is reflected in a consistent way throughout the project development and delivery, incorporating all Defence, ID, IAD, NOD and User requirements. |
