1.1 The Consultant is required to ensure that:
- the project objectives
(as set out in the engagement document) are achieved;
- all tasks identified
in the tasking statement are performed in a manner that ensures
the project objectives are met; and
- any additional tasks
not included in these services but necessary to deliver the
project, are undertaken to ensure the project objectives are
met.
1.2
The Consultant is to be proactive in all matters relating to the
project.
1.3
The Consultant is to constantly monitor project risk, and implement
strategies to control risk and minimise the Department of Defences
exposure.
1.4
The Consultant is to monitor any Contractors compliance
with the Industrial Relations component of the National Code of
Practice for the Construction Industry and report to the project
officer on any problems.
1.5
The Consultant will utilise the standard Defence Suite of Contracts
as the basis of engagement of Consultants and contractors on the
project, however, the Consultant is to advise any changes considered
appropriate to better ensure the project objectives are met.
1.6
Provide the necessary general administration services including
(without limitation):
- consultation with
the project officer, other Consultants or others;
- research as required;
- attendance at conferences;
- maintain such attendances
on site as may be required to properly perform the services;
- attending to communications;
and
- providing travel
time.
