Selection REGIONAL REVIEW Step 7 - Fill

1) Regional Project Officer (RPO) or delegated Project Contractor fills in the Considerations Matrix in consultation with identified regional and technical authorities.
As the name suggests, the Considerations Matrix is a comprehensive list of potential risks, or issues that are to be considered for each siting option. The aim is to assist in establishing the suitability of each siting option with respect to the various aspects of the project. It is not anticipated that all listed considerations will necessarily be relevant to all of the siting options. The filling out of the Matrix is the responsibility of the Regional Project Officer however the Project Contractor may assist with this process. The RPO or delegated contractor is expected to have the requisite technical expertise to decide which considerations are likely to be of relevance. Where uncertainty exists as to the relevance of a consideration, Regional and Technical Authorities should be contacted for guidance. It is not necessary to contact an authority if a consideration is clearly not relevant to a potential siting option. When filling in the Matrix the RPO or contractor should include the name of the authority providing the advice and the date. N.B. Activity 1 in Step 8 is only required if the RPO or contractor has not consulted a regional or technical authority in completing a relevant consideration. An authority point of contact for each consideration in the Matrix is listed below. |
The Considerations Matrix is completed for each siting option.
