Community Centre

The Department of Defence has constructed an extensive, multi-purpose community centre on the Site which was completed in 2005.

The 1,200 square metre facility has been transferred to Randwick Council to meet the needs of the existing and future community. It is the largest purpose built community facility in the City of Randwick, serving the entire community.

The facility is larger and more efficiently designed than the old community centre off Bundock Street.

The facility incorporates the following features in a "village" arrangement, sited around a central courtyard:

  • Annabel house (217m²);
  • Preschool (210 m²);
  • Day-care Centre (180 m²);
  • Community Hall (335 m²);
  • Community Centre (280 m²); and
  • WIRES (NSW Wildlife Information and Rescue Service) facilities.
